Overall Barley House was very nice. No local amenities as such as this is a remote location, which we knew when we booked. We would certainly stay here again. Only negatives (which are minor) was that the skirtings, window ledges and window openings/vents had webs and spiders on them which freaked out my 6 year old. We quickly rectified that issue ourselves but we do acknowledge that this is an old barn. The bbq had obviously been used before our stay and needed a thorough clean before use. Maybe not having I left outside and in the elements may have made it more useable. Again, as said above we would certainly stay here again.

Fabulous property in a gorgeous location - a lovely, peaceful break. Although we had to drive to get to pubs, shops, etc. the pubs we visited in the area were excellent.

Great comfortable and roomy converted barn in a beautiful remote and peaceful location. Huge kitchen perfect for group cooking with large dining table situated in centre of barn that's flanked by double height glass windows - of which one side looks out onto open fields and woodland. Very comfortable sofas and armchairs to relax in of an evening if it's not the weather to enjoy a barbecue and sit at the large outside table.

We were delighted with the accommodation, especially the presence of two 'wings' of the property upstairs and the ensuite facilities for each bedroom. Those above scores of below 'best' relate to: Comfort and equipment - STILL no bottle opener (easily remedied) and only two comfortable chairs in the sitting area. The sofas were too large and offered no back support. Location - I had assumed a more open vista all around, not only from the back of the property. Local amenities - None close. I am used to this at home but feel others may not be. The centre of Hereford is only 6.5 miles. We wisely ordered 'click and collect' but obviously the supermarket was not used to such a large order and had sent out two of our crates on two separate vans! Overall we enjoyed our stay immensely, the above comments relate mainly to expectations, not criticisms.
