This light, cosy, semi-detached property will appeal to couples looking for a peaceful retreat, yet convenient and within easy reach of the main road networks.

Bostreath is perfect for couples looking for a comfortable, peaceful location as it is set in a quiet, rural hamlet close to the beautiful Roseland Peninsula. This semi-detached, single-storey conversion (originally a cart shed) is ideal for exploring the rugged north coast which is popular with surfers (Newquay is 7 miles away) or the calmer sailing waters of the south coast, including Falmouth with its busy port and prestigious marina’s, home of the National Maritime Museum and calendar of sailing, music and food events. The two castles built by Henry VI at St Mawes and Pendennis Point are both open to visitors and run by English Heritage. The picturesque Helford River and creeks have many scenic woodland walks with wildlife to spot and lovely quiet beaches. The area has some of Cornwall’s leading sub-tropical gardens and National Trust properties, including Trelissick Garden, Trebah, Glendurgan, The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Just a short drive away is the beautiful cathedral city of Truro, which offers great shopping, cinema, theatre, bowling, bars and restaurants. Shop 2½ miles, pub 2 miles.

The chocolates and wine were very much appreciated and were a kind thought. Far too many cushions and ornaments. Worried when we closed and opened the curtains that we would break something. Bedroom-couldn't use chair because we had to pile up the cushions and throws off the bed on it. Not much space on top of chest of drawers as again had too many objects on it. Kitchen-space taken up with two coffee machines! Beautifully supplied with crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. Nice hob and cooker. Bathroom-as a couple getting on in years we would have appreciated some grab rails when using the shower. Also the window sill full up with bottles and jars so no space to keep ones own toiletries. A shaving mirror would be appreciated. The steps up to the sitting out area were positively dangerous for us and we did not use it. Which was a shame as we do like to be able to sit outside. A handrail should be fitted. It was clear that a great deal of thought and effort had gone into fitting out the cottage. It was beautifully converted and we did enjoy our visit. We would not visit again as we like to visit different places every time.

A nice cottage . Very narrow lanes but easy to get to places to visit . The only downside of the cottage was no garden to sit and a drink
