The Cotswold Barn is fully en-suite and has an open fire for those cold evenings making it perfect at any time of year.

These barn conversions are situated on the fringe of the charming Cotswold village of Ampney Crucis. Immaculately presented, they lie in the grounds of a 500-acre country estate, part of which is accessible to guests, just two miles from the ancient Roman town of Cirencester. The area is popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The Long Barn (ref NTE) and The Cotswold Barn (ref NTF) are perfect Gloucestershire holiday homes to be enjoyed at any time of year. The Cotswold Water Park, with its many water based activities, is within close proximity. Just a little further afield is the Regency Spa town of Cheltenham, offering many visitor attractions, an extensive range of shops, restaurants and the Gold Cup horse racing. There is also the National Arboretum, situated at Westonbirt, being home to one of the finest tree collections in the world. Oxford, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold and Lechlade are all easily accessible. We thoroughly enjoyed our break and would just make some constructive comments. The kitchen could benefit from a few extras like egg cups, mugs, small dishes and wine glasses not flutes. The rugs were a bit hazardous especially for our elderly guests. All considered we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay and please accept our comments with the best of intentions. We are planning to return next year.

Fabulous venue for a great holiday. Spacious, comfortable and made very welcome. The only minor criticism is the TV room uncomfortable for us to sit together. Would recommend to friends

We could not fault the comfort and luxury feel of the Barn. The location was stunning and central to so many of the must see places in The Cotswolds. We had an issue with the alarm which the owner sorted as soon as he could. All the fixtures and fittings are first class and the kitchen was far more popular than it is in our house. Everyone loved the little mezzanine lounge and the long dining room table was a great place to get together at the end of a long day sightseeing. Cirencester is literally 5 minutes away and just five minutes in the other direction and you come across a beautiful little place called the Village Pub. This is well worth a visit and not too expensive, with a lovely beer garden. The only down side of the Barn was the security dogs in the main house. The owner is not always there, and when he isn't the two dogs bark and howl for two to four hours during the night. This kept us all awake but we bought ear plugs which worked to some extent. Seemed to be between 2am and 4am for about 4 of the 7 nights we stayed there. This was such as shame as the Barn and the owner and his staff were so helpful in all other ways. I would definitely go back and whilst the dogs were a nuisance it didn't completely spoil our time there although it did make us a little tired on what was meant to be a holiday. It's well worth a visit though!
