We loved the Dairy Barn, the setting was so quiet, peaceful and beautiful. There were lots of things to do nearby although as we were on New Wine we only managed to visit Glastonbury. The cottage was very clean and well equipped for self-catering and the conversion was very thoughtfully and tastefully done. The landlord and cleaning women were very helpful and we appreciated having milk, butter, bread etc on our arrival. Our only issue was the double bed which we found too small and rather uncomfortable. I also managed to get 3 bruises on my legs by bashing into the wooden edges covered by the douvet when accessing one side of the room. If there was a bigger and more comfortable bed we would certainly consider visiting again to explore the area more.

We absolutely loved Dairy Barn. The location was perfect; quiet and private but not isolated and within easy reach of interesting places to visit in this part of Somerset. We were lucky enough to visit during gorgeous weather and we very much enjoyed sitting out on the terrace and taking in the gorgeous view. We had taken our bicycles and particularly enjoyed cycling around the area as well as into Glastonbury. There are several good pubs nearby and we enjoyed evenings walking up the lane for a drink at The Greyhound, Baltonsborough. Dairy Barn has been beautifully renovated and the space inside has a lovely atmosphere. It was also spotlessly clean with thoughtful provisions left eg bread, butter, milk, cake, flowers. We were disappointed to leave and it is definitely a place we would plan a return visit to.

Wonderful week in this beautiful cottage with great weather too! Spotless, well equipped cottage, comfy bed and amazing welcome goodies on arrival. Great location, amazing wildlife and sunsets too. Had everything that we needed. Didn't notice an iron there but holidays aren't for ironing anyway. Loved the history of the building and the owners have done an amazing job. Brilliant location and in easy reach of so many beautiful places. Thoroughly recommend Wells Cathedral and The Bishop's Palace. We hope to be back! Thank you to the owners and also the lady who looks after the cottage - she does a great job!

We had a lovely week staying in the barn, the welcome pack of milk, bread, butter and biscuits was very useful. A beautiful vase of flowers was a lovely addition too. The outlook was great, only fields and trees and of course the resident cows. The photos and write up showing the history of the barn were interesting. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Plenty of good places to eat, 4 national trust properties nearby and lots of nature reserves.

This is the second year running and we are looking to book again next year, The cottage is perfectly located a few miles from Glastonbury, overlooking fields. It is incredibly peaceful and very restful, (no wifi!) with an extremely comfortable bed and everything you need in the kitchen for a well stocked self catering holiday. I think it is probably the nicest holiday cottage I have ever stayed at even considering the weather this year was only fit for ducks!

Really comfortable and cosy small property in a quiet spot (but within easy striking distance of the Avalon Marshes, Glastonbury etc). Unfortunately I had to leave after only 4 days due to the incoming snowstorm so as not to get cut off, but I really enjoyed my four days! I can think of only one minor improvement that could be made, which is that the verge outside the property obviously gets very soft at times (though not when the outside temperature is -5 degrees!) and could be improved for parking one vehicle on; otherwise the surface there may get wrecked.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments, Dairy Barn is situated in a beautiful narrow lane that ends in a cul-de-sac. To park adjacent to the front door may cause a problem for the occasional service vehicles. However, adjacent to the barn is a car park reserved for those staying at Dairy Barn which provides parking space for several cars. We hope you visit again.

We had a great week and Dairy Barn was very comfortable. It suited our needs perfectly as able from which to explore Somerset. Would certainly consider staying again at a different time of year. The only thing missing was a coat rack and maybe a couple of door hooks from which to hang more stuff.
