Head off on a luxurious adventure with your loved one and explore the beautiful surrounding area.

If rest and relaxation in snug, well thought out surroundings are on your agenda, look no further than Dairy Cottage, residing in what was previously the original farmyard surrounded by orchards and woodland. This well presented, detached conversion was once the milking parlour on the farm. Take the footpath at the side of the cottage leading to woodland and a nature reserve. Alternatively, try your hand at trout fishing at Spring Hill Trout Waters across the track and catch supper. Nature lovers will also enjoy Brenchley Wood Nature Reserve. There are many National Trust properties in the area, including Knowle House at Sevenoaks where the film ‘Pirate of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides’ was filmed. Chartwell, which is home to the late Winston Churchill and his paintings; Batemans, where Rudyard Kipling grew up; and Ightham Mote, a fine example of a moated 14th-century manor house. Explore castles including Bodiam, vineyards and sample some very fine wines; gardens including the masterpiece at Sissinghurst created by Vita Sackville West and Harold Nicholson. Good rail connections from Paddock Wood to London can be reached in 50 minutes. Alternatively, head to Ashford and take the train to Paris in time for drinks. The spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells and The Pantiles are less than 3 miles away. The coast at Hastings is approximately 40 minutes. Golf 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Dairy Cottage is furnished and equipped to the highest standard. Visitors are made to feel welcome and are generously supplied eg with foodstuffs, cleaning products and toiletries. The owner is on hand for any query you might have without being in any way intrusive. The courtyard garden with feeders is a haven for birdlife and there are good country walks on the doorstep. A true rural retreat.

We had a great stay at Dairy Cottage. Alan and Marion were superb hosts making our stay most enjoyable. The cottage is presented to a very high standard at the very top of those we have stayed in. The cake, eggs and all the other extras that Marion provided were very much appreciated. The location is ideal to visit many of the National Trust properties in the area and also other places of interest. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable holiday!

Dairy Cottage is of a very high standard. On-site owners are very helpful and friendly and provided lots of thoughtful extras. The cottage is ideally situated to explore the many attractions Kent has to offer particularly NT properties and heritage railways. Nearby mainline rail services offer fast alternative transport to coast and London. Highly recommended- we would come again.

Very comfortable cottage with thoughtful extras from welcoming hosts. Tucked away at the end of a few lanes it has an 'away from it at all' feel but it isn't far from towns, coast and National Trust properties. Would love to stay there again some time.
