This splendid detached lodge, located at the forefront of the owner’s home, offers couples a fantastic opportunity to escape to the countryside for a romantic getaway. This location is ideal for those who love walking with its many footpaths nearby.

Grovelands Lodge is set in a quiet location and offers everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break, including a welcome pack on arrival to make you feel at home. The rooms, all on the ground floor, are beautifully decorated and furnished throughout with a vaulted ceiling in the living area. The open plan living space has a well-equipped kitchen making it a pleasure to prepare your own food. There is also a comfortable dining area where you can relax and enjoy your meal. On a warm summer’s evening, you may decide to have a barbecue in the lovely enclosed garden and make the most of the peace and tranquillity. For those cooler evenings, the lodge is fitted with underfloor central heating, creating a cosy atmosphere from which to snuggle up in front of the satellite TV in the living area. The double bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite bathroom where you can enjoy a long soak after exploring the myriad of footpaths nearby. If you would like to research the area and plan your days out, Wi-Fi access is available.

If you wish to take a leisurely stroll in the evening, the local 14th century pub is within ½ a mile and offers a selection of beers straight from the cask along with delicious home cooked food.
The village of Henfield is 4 miles away with shops selling local produce. The seaside resort of Brighton is less than ½ an hour’s drive away where you will find numerous places of interest including the Royal Pavilion, Brighton Museum and Art Gallery and Brighton Dome; an elegant Regency building staging music, theatre and dance shows. The South Downs National Park with its beautiful scenery is also well worth a visit.

    This was a return visit and again enjoyed the comforts of a beautifully furnished and well equipped cottage in a country setting , yet well situated for Brighton (family reasons) and many of the main attractions in the area.

    Great remote country location for a getaway from it all break. Fenced garden great for our dog this was the second time we have stayed there. The heating controls are complex but easy once you have read the instructions. Owners live on site and are very welcoming. Standard of accommodation is excellent we could move in!
