When we first arrived we thought wow but on closwr inspection every door and cupboard didn't fit properly. The hot water was scalding and then we had no hot water for last two days. There was no comfortable sofa to recline on. The pillows on the bed need renewing. It all looked like it needed decorating and the decking was only partly painted which was odd. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling everywhere. Idyllic location but needs some maintenance and a little more thought.

Lovely location overlooking the moors and a picturesque cottage. Very peaceful and relaxing. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We had no problems with the farmer next door. Easy access to good walking and Widecombe is a nice village with an excellent café and pubs. We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Our only issues were that the cottage is quite drafty and was difficult to get warm at the beginning of the week when the weather was not so good- the storage heaters are useless; and also the access road is very bumpy (although by no means impassable provided you go slowly).
