A peaceful cottage tucked away but close enough to the facilities in Sherborne. It’s always good to have a committed owner and John and Paula where friendly and helpful and clearly try to ensure that the cottages are well maintained and comfortable. The fan in the Living room was most appreciated in the hot weather. Would definitely return on our next trip to Dorset.

Very comfortable and in a beautiful location. Close to historic Sherborne with its stunning and historic abbey. Also close to the Haynes Motor Museum and the Fleet Arm Arm Museum. Beautiful walking paths nearby. Most other places of interest are a bit of a drive away. Bath was a two-hour drive but well worth the journey. Cottage was easy to find and we had a nice welcome card and tasty treat left for us. The boys enjoyed the tennis court when we had a nice day for it. Altogether, a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful time in Kingfisher cottage. The location is very rural, beautiful but with relatively few local amenities except a hotel in the village and a few local pubs. The nearby town of Sherbourne is lovely and the location generally is ideal with the Dorset coast, Bath and a great selection of National Trust properties all within a 1hr drive. This is good walking country, but we had a 5month old with us and so couldn't take much advantage of the many local footpaths. We stayed in the middle of February and we couldn't fault the cottage and its features. Really well appointed kitchen with a brand new oven and beautiful furnishings. Big rooms and efficient heating. Good WiFi connectivity and also an HDTV with DVD player. The log burner was very much appreciated. It would be even better in the warmer weather when using the garden and the tennis courts would be attractive.

We enjoyed our holiday very much. The cottage is within easy reach of several National Trust properties, as well as the south Dorset coast and the towns of Yeovil, Taunton, and the city of Salisbury. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable, and there were some nice extras, like the flapjacks, biscuits, and tea and coffee. The photos in the brochure do not do the cottage justice.
