Location was ideal for both the lakes and Eden valley. The cottage was very spacious and well furnished with good views from the large windows in the bedroom. The owners were very friendly and helpfu, also there was a nice village pub.

In many ways a lovely cottage, but with a couple of negatives. The high step between the living area and the kitchen is one, particularly as you have to step up almost as soon as you come through the front door. We thought this quite dangerous and there is no mention in the particulars. A dressing table in the bedroom would have been good, as my wife had to use the kitchen table. While the bottle of wine was a nice touch, after a 5 hour journey to get to the cottage a pint of milk in the fridge to make a cup of tea would have been welcomed.
