Gorgeous setting and cottage. A few niggly problems such as the main bathroom sink didn't empty well and the shower was scorching or freezing (shower in other room was fine) and the fridge door was difficult to shut but overall such a lovely place we would definitely stay again.

I would give the property a score of a high 9 out of 10. Great cottage, although "cottage" doesn't do this property real justice. It's spacious, comfortable, clean and tidy and very, very well appointed. A key safe is a great idea I've not seen before, but it eliminates the possibility of going out and losing the keys somewhere. A couple of very tiny little tweaks are required ( Fridge door is problematic as is the shower door in the master bedroom ). It's in a great location right on the river and the owner works only 2 doors at the ferry yard. You can hire a picnic boat from him if you want to. If you're up early in the morning you can see the fish jumping on the river and the local wild fowl are not shy of paying you a visit if they see you up and about. ( they know they'll get a free meal ) If you like fishing there is a fishing lake 5 mins walk away or pitches on the river. If you fancy a hike you can follow the river and be in Potter Heigham in just over half an hour. The owners are nice and friendly and very accommodating. The property was hard to find using SatNav and the directions supplied are a bit out of date. ( the directions refer to left turn after a pub called the Kings Head. Confusing, as there is a Kings Arms, but you've missed the left turn by that point. The pub that signals the left turn is the Victoria Inn ) I would suggest that future visitors are given the Post Code to the Equestrian Centre in Straithe Road and told to just carry on past it until they reach the end of the road at the river.
