National Trust Holiday Properties

Nestled in beautiful surroundings, these delightful properties (references NT011015, NT011017, NT011018, NT011019, NT011021 and NT011022) make a fantastic base from which to explore this area of Cornwall, whether you’re looking for coast or countryside. A short walk takes you to Pencarrow Head with its stunning coastal view, which is the jewel of this uncrowded part of Cornwall. The unspoilt beauty of Lantic Bay awaits those who are willing to make the steep descent to the beach. The South West Coastal Path takes you to the villages of Polperro and Polruan, and the charm and bustle of Fowey is a short ferry ride away with shops, restaurants and pubs. The annual Fowey regatta takes place in August and is a must see festival of art, culture and sailing.
Most properties enjoy fabulous views and are all surrounded by lawned gardens, perfect for both games and lounging about. Part of the old farming settlement of Triggabrowne, Pitt is a traditional stone and slate barn adjoining Fortescue. Fortescue is one of several farm buildings converted into a comfortable holiday cottage. It is a substantial and traditional stone and slate barn, and adjoins Pitt. It has its living room on the first floor to make the most of the wonderful views. At the heart of the old farmstead is a handsome slate-hung farmhouse that has been converted into three holiday cottages; Dairy Cottage is a cosy cottage adjoining the main house at one side, this larger building is home to Tippett’s and The Farm House which occupy separate wings. The house’s traditional features have been retained such as slate floors, exposed beams and fireplaces, so each of the cottages have something of the look and feel of the Cornish farmhouse about it. Not far from the other buildings of Triggabrowne Farm is attractive Meadow Cottage.
Cycling, deep sea fishing, sailing, golf and horse riding are all available nearby. The Eden Project and St Austell Bay, home to many pretty fishing villages such as Polkerris, Charlestown and Mevagissey, are within easy reach. Beach ¾ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Cosy, beamed living/dining room with wood-burning stove. Compact galley-style kitchen. Utility area. First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed. Single bedroom. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.
