Very comfortable and clean. Good layout, and the showers worked! Just right for the two of us! Hospitable and friendly owner (bottle of wine much appreciated - and the milk). Great location, lovely view from cottage and well landscaped garden offering very good shelter from the roads (situated at junction of two main roads - but not very busy). Secure, easy and convenient access. Excellent base for touring lovely countryside - and Dovedale so close!

The noise from the two main rains that the property lies between ruined our holiday. The vehicle noise actually gave me a headache when sitting in the garden. There was no mobile phone service - we had been warned of this - and the Internet service was limited. This was a major issue as my mother is serverly disabled - if she fell or became ill my only point of contact would have been to run to the owners property to phone for an ambulance. If the owners were out then I would not have been able to get the assistance needed. We left three days early.
