Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The house was lovely, a very unusual layout would really suit two small families holidaying together. The garden is gorgeous. While still a obviously much loved project it already offers so many different vistas. It is an enchanting and truly secret garden the stuff of fairy tales. June 2011.
  2. It suited us perfectly as two couples meeting up after a gap of some years. The separate bedroom areas with own bathrooms were perfect. The kitchen diner perfect for cooking and gathering in. The woodburner cosy and homely. Feb 2011.
  3. Light and airy. Oct 2010.
  4. Spacious. good clean linen, nice beds and amazing garden. May 2010.
  5. Very helpful owner who was there when we needed her but never in your face. Report of malfunctioning toilet was dealt with immediately and with the minimum of fuss. Home made cakes, pies, fresh eggs milk and a wonderful loaf was there to welcome us, and many lights greeted our arrival. The cottage is made up of two properties which mirror each other but do not connect upstairs, ideal for 2 small families. Fresh towels and fresh paint was much appreciated as was the walk in shower. Wonderful garden, interior decoration and antiques and the incredible walks. The pub run by the owner has an open fire and offers interesting home cooked food (not all meat!) and has a range of real ales served straight from the barrel and is a reasonable stumbling distance from the cottage (take a torch!) Excellent relaxed atmosphere however, would certainly book again. Oct 2009.
