Situated between the Jurassic Coast and the village of Corfe Castle, this large property for 25 guests has an on-site winery!

Sleeping up to 25 people, Purbeck Vineyard offers the quintessential residence for large parties in the south of Dorset – be it the extended family, friendly gatherings or celebrations, this sizeable, detached property fits the bill.

Picture yourselves sitting outside on the patio in the morning sun. After a hearty full English and a good coffee overlooking Dorset’s compelling landscape, breakfast will never be the same again. The interior has been furnished throughout with a veneer of refinement, balancing style and comfort in equal measure. Bright, fresh and spacious, the dining room owes its homely quality to its wooden beams, mahogany tables and plenty of natural lighting from the windows. Combined, the room really comes together as the ideal place for fine dining in finer company. It’s understandable that to some, cooking for 25 can sound like a bit of a chore. Luckily, with such a large kitchen equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, it can also be a pleasure for a small group of chatty chefs. As the saying goes, ‘many hands make light work’ - just bear in mind that ‘too many cooks spoil the broth’!

Another great element to this property is that no two bedrooms are the same. Each features its own hand-sprung mattress, TV and en-suite, as well as a distinctly unique character. This one sophisticated, that one homely, and as many have their own balcony, truly this property leaves very little to be desired. The games room is bound to keep your cheeky little monkeys busy in the evenings, leaving you free to put your feet up, throw another log on the fire, and chat the night away. And with some 3000 vines in the garden and an on-site winery, you certainly won’t be left thirsty! Take a tour (by prior arrangement) of the harvesting, pressing and vinifying process, before sipping on some genuine, chateau-bottled wine. If wine isn’t your thing, then food hampers and casks of local beer can be pre-ordered.

Purbeck Vineyard is situated between the Jurassic Coast and the village of Corfe Castle, fantastic walking and cycling country. There’s an array of outdoor activities to try, but if you’re heading to the sea, hop on the Swanage steam railway, which can be seen along the bottom of the valley. With its coastal paths, Dulston Country Park, a sandy beach, promenade and small pier, Swanage is a picture-perfect seaside town, that is a must-visit during your stay.

Lovely location and great venue with plenty of room. Could do with a very light refurb in places and some outside lighting at the back of the vineyard.

We stayed here for my husbands birthday. There were 20 of us in total, 12 children and 8 adults. We all had a thoroughly great time. The kids enjoyed a 'sleepover' in the large bedroom downstairs whilst we had a good nights sleep in the large, comfortable bed upstairs. The vineyard is very run down and the hot water in the house runs out quickly which is a problem is everyone is wanting a shower in the morning or wanting to bath kids at night. The kids loved the wii, the garden swing and the games room and we enjoyed relaxing but the fire in the evening and waking up to a beautiful view.
