With stunning views from almost every room, this detached cottage is set on the River Avon with fishing available on-site.

There’s an indescribable beauty to this luxury holiday home, as it sits beside the glistening waters of the River Avon. The interiors, the garden, the local amenities and the location - all the boxes are ticked for an unforgettable holiday at River Reach.

You’re met with a substantial house upon arrival, with a mix of large picture windows and circular hobbit windows on the first floor. Bright rugs, drapes and sofas are set around the wood burner in the living room, hand-picked for their lively colours. Wooden furniture, flooring and wicker baskets around the fireplace make this characterful area a joy, ideal for having a glass of wine and a chinwag with friends and family.

Each and every room uses space and light to the upmost degree, filling you with a sense of clarity and freedom – never has the old saying “a tidy house is a tidy mind” rung so true. The kitchen/diner is a fantastic social space for enjoying a light lunch with a clear head, and upstairs, the trend continues in all four bedrooms. You can find compelling aspects from most rooms, but perhaps best of all is the view from the balcony – vast and unbroken, the land stretches out toward the horizon.

After just a few days’ rest and recuperation, you’ll be ready to head out and explore the local sights and sounds. Stratford-upon-Avon is steeped in history as the birthplace of Shakespeare just 2 miles away (a scenic 40-minute walk), and the medieval villages and rolling hills of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a must-see during your stay. Alternatively, you can spend your mornings in quiet comfort at River Reach, your afternoons fishing from the terrace, and your evenings enjoying a bite to eat and a pint at the local village pub, which is just a short walk away. The owner has fishing rights so bring along your rod licence.

We stayed at this beautiful house to celebrate my parents diamond wedding anniversary, it was the perfect setting and the house had everything that we needed. We had to make use of the wood burner because it snowed while we were there! The house was plenty big enough for our party of 8 adults and 3 dogs, and it was so homely and clean. There was a welcoming pack when we arrived which was very much appreciated. Just a minute walk away was the local pub which was excellent for an evening meal. There were also plenty of lovely walks locally. It was just a short drive into Stratford-upon-Avon, which is a lovely place to visit. We cannot recommend this house enough and we are already thinking of rebooking (when we can all get time off of work!!).

Beautiful accommodation in a lovely location. It is very well equipped and furnished to a high standard. Whilst it had a log burner, the house was warm so we didn’t need to light it. Owner on site - very welcoming, helpful and pleasant. Local pub great for an evening meal. The welcome pack was a kind gesture and helped us get our weekend off to a good start with a glass of wine! We are a group of 5 mature ladies who meet for an annual get together and we will certainly book this property again.

We had a lovely time celebrating a family birthday here - there was plenty of space even when friends came for the birthday lunch. The house was great - very comfortable and spacious and really nice to be there when it was decorated for Christmas. Local pub was great for a meal. Instructions for the television and other appliances would be helpful as would some information about local attractions but would thoroughly recommend River Reach and hope to stay again.

Comfortable accommodation in superb location. Friendly owner lives nearby & was available if anything was needed. Very nice welcome pack on arrival. If you are nature lovers then there are many river walks nearby where kingfishers may be seen. If you appreciate good food & real ale then the local village pub can be recommended.

Lovely spacious house and nicely furnished. The owner Martin who lives in a cottage in the grounds was always on hand and most helpful. cushions for the outside wooden furniture would be nice, and a couple of steamer chairs or sun loungers.
