We have had a very relaxing week at The Cart Lodge. After a particularly difficult past few weeks it was lovely to arrive and have everything there ready for us. The welcome was warm and friendly and the ''goodies" provided on our arrival were very welcome. The property is situated in a very lovely area within reach of many of the south coast's popular spots. A great little property!!

We had a good holiday, the area was lovely. The Cart Lodge was in a wonderful quiet location with good walks straight from the front door. Internally it was not as well equipped as other places I have stayed in and the overall impression was of it being "a bit tired." However, I would still be happy to recommend it to a friend.

The Cart Lodge is a compact cottage in a tranquil situation. Sheep outside the front door with a picnic table that looks onto the fields. The owners give a warm welcome and are close by to give advice if needed but do not overlook the cottage. It has two bedrooms - the twin with ensuite. The cottage and area are ideal for small families and older people wanting a quiet break. Teenagers might like somewhere with more going on particularly as there in no internet

This was our first holiday in this area and we were not disappointed. The accommodation was comfortable and an ideal base for days out, whether to the seaside, or places with historic interest such as Battle and Bodiam Castle. The views from the cottage are superb and the patio was an ideal way to relax and enjoy them and the peaceful surroundings. We would certainly consider repeating the experience.
