Set in 10 acres of natural countryside and beautifully landscaped gardens, The Coach House is a detached holiday property offering comfortable accommodation in a stunning setting right on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales. Occupying the first floor level of the property, which dates back to 1870, this spacious apartment has been thoughtfully renovated by the owners and offers all the contemporary comforts that one expects whilst retaining all of its original charm. Decorated and furnished to a very good standard throughout, with a well-equipped kitchen and entertainment facilities which include Sky TV, wi-fi, and games console. The highlight of this accommodation is most definitely the open-plan living space with its high ceilings, original beams and bi-folding doors which open up onto the decked balcony, bringing the outdoors in. In addition to their own private garden space, guests can also use the summerhouse, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. The property provides an ideal base for those who love the outdoors as it’s a great area for walking and cycling. Guests can access footpaths direct from the property which is located along the Pennine Way. The nearby village of Foulridge, 1 mile, offers boat trips along the Leeds/Liverpool canal and coarse fishing is available at the reservoir. The nearest large town for shops and supermarkets is Colne, 3 miles, which is also the home of Boundary Mill retail outlet. Lancashire’s Ribble Valley, 17 miles, Pendle Hill and Lancashire’s witch country, 10 miles, and Forest of Bowland, an Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, 28 miles, are equally as beautiful and all worth a visit. For those who want to take a break from driving, Skipton and Colne both have train stations, providing easy access into Manchester, Leeds and Preston as well as the famous Settle/Carlisle railway. Steam trains also operate from Haworth. For those who prefer a coastal landscape, the Fylde coast is very accessible and Blackpool can be reached in around 45 minutes. The Lake District can be reached in just over an hour. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
