With an abundance of wildlife to be found in the shared grounds, this property is perfect for nature lovers.

Originally built in 1825 as a ruin, this unique Grade II listed building has been sympathetically transformed into two lovely, detached gatehouses yet retaining all the visual appearances of a ruin. Built in stone from Filey Brigg, The Follies are set in 3/4 acres of natural grounds and visitors are welcome to wander through them, where there is an abundance of wildlife including, rabbits, owls and squirrels.
Centrally located for exploring the North Yorkshire coast, moors and wolds, the historic town of Filey is only 3 miles distant, with its wide sandy beach and all the attractions of a popular seaside resort. Scarborough and Bridlington are both easily accessible, as is the beautiful city of York. There is a 9-hole golf course locally, fishing available nearby, and an RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs providing interest for bird-watchers. There are plenty of local shops and pubs within walking distance, and good railway links. Shop 500 yards.

Cosy living room with rug on stone floor, Gothic arched windows and insets in walls, vaulted ceiling and original Gothic archway leading to grounds. Well-equipped fitted kitchen/dining room with stone floor. Bathroom with shower over whirlpool bath and toilet. First floor: Minstrel gallery double bedroom with sloping ceiling, double bed and ½ tester above.

Beautiful place in a quiet location, close to village shops, dog friendly and no children allowed, short walk to local pubs, close to train station and fishing lake, also only a short drive to beautiful beaches. The lady owner is friendly and very helpful. Was warm and comfortable with everything we needed we had a fabulous time

Stayed here for a week at Christmas and it was absolutely lovely. Everything you could need is supplied and the Christmas decorations were a nice added touch. Vicky is a great host with just the right balance of friendliness and non intrusiveness. I'll stay here again sometime this year. The location is perfect for exploring the East Coast and Wolds. Thanks again Vicky I had a great time.

Facilities, cleanliness and comfort were very good. Complimentary wine was a lovely gesture. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, there were lots of brochures in the cottage for us to plan our days out. The Piebald Inn is recommended - the food was delicious and it's an easy 10 minute walk. The only thing I would mention is that the road is quite noisy, which might be an issue for light sleepers.

Low Lodge in Hunmanby was a comfortable and cosy place to come back to at the end of the day. There were some lovely welcome gifts for us when we arrived and it was clean and well equipped. We had a very nice break.
