A cosy retreat for couples with contemporary décor and just 9 miles from the historic town of Alnwick.

Peacefully located close to the magnificent Northumbrian Heritage Coast, this holiday home offers a contemporary interior in traditional buildings with spacious surroundings. It has its own garden (not enclosed) and lies just ½ mile from the A1, but completely out of sight. The charming village of Belford (6 miles) has full amenities. 9 miles from the historic town of Alnwick, Northumberland’s ducal town, with cobbled streets, weekly market, Playhouse Theatre, medieval castle used in Harry Potter, enchanting water gardens and a treehouse restaurant. Bamburgh, with its fine fortress towering over the village, is a short drive with a beautiful golden sandy beach. Nearby Seahouses, famous for fish and chips and friendly seaside atmosphere, has a small working fishing harbour where boat trips can be taken to The Farne Islands to visit the seals and puffins, or Craster famous for smoked kippers and its beautiful walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. A trip across the tidal causeway to Lindisfarne (Holy Island) is a must (check tides). Discover small friendly villages, vast unspoilt beaches and coastline in this AONB. Enjoy relaxing strolls or bike rides in the hills and valleys of the panoramic countryside. Golf courses locally. Shops and pub 3 miles.

Very nice stay, site not quite what was expected as very overlooked, also sitting room blinds were see through so no privacy in that room at night. Good location close to A1 so easy to get around, and near to coast on one side and hills on the other.

Our overall review is good. On the downside we found the settees not very comfortable. All other aspects of the cottage were excellent. We have stayed at the nook before and would stay there again.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed The Nook and that you would be happy to return. However, we were surprised at your comments regarding the two sofas and would simply like to point out that both sofas are in very good condition and we have not previously received any adverse comments in this regard.
