Situated on the southern tip of Lake Windermere close to the small village of Lakeside, The Owl Nest offers a most exceptional holiday experience within the Lake District National Park.

Centrally located, this fantastic, holiday home is set in a row and makes for a one-of-a-kind week away in the South Lakes. The Owl Nest lies within the grounds of The Swan Hotel and Spa, and holidaymakers have access to many of the hotel’s fine facilities, including the indoor heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi, along with the 2 acres of grounds to explore.

It goes without saying that The Lakes are a dream for lovers of all things outdoors, covering the whole spectrum of activities from walking and cycling to watersports, and the stunningly beautiful natural terrain makes for a most scenic photograph, painting or backdrop to a leisurely stroll. If that isn’t enough, the village of Cartmel is home to a fantastic racecourse for horses, so a day at the races is not to be missed! Line fishing is available on the River Leven nearby (£10 per day, licence required, bring your own rods). Beach 8 miles. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 20 yards.
The Owl Nest can be booked together with The Hedgehog (UK1053), The Mallard (UK1054), The Dormouse (UK1056) and The Love Nest (UK1057) to accommodate up to 34 guests.

Shared use of hotel’s indoor heated swimming pool (10m x 6m, depth 4m, open 7am - 8.30pm daily) with shower and changing facilities, and Jacuzzi. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced river in the grounds, 200 yards away. This property has a security deposit of £200.
