Beautiful cottage, peaceful location and were given a lovely greeting by Mrs White and Beau (her 4 legged companion). Close to the breathtaking cycle track (Cinder Track)- which we went on from Robin Hood's Bay to Whitby- lots of places to visit from this relatively central location; proividing you have a car/transport. Both left feeling revived and rested after our weeks stay.

Characterful, comfortable, well equipped cottage in a stunning location. Mrs White friendly and helpful. Good cycling along the cinder track to Whitby and Scarborough. Welcome bath before dinner in a period bathtub which, contrary to one review, works perfectly.

The cottage needs a shower, or, at least, a bath with a working plug. The owner attempted to explain the baroque intricacies of the 'listed' bath's draining mechanism. it defeated us. Each time we tried to fill it the water simply drained away.
