Our regional team recommends

Wander around the galleries and shops at Snape Maltings, Suffolk with morning coffee.  Then onto Aldeburgh (approx. 10 minutes in the car) park on the front and walk along the beach to Thorpeness (approx. 45 minutes). On arrival in Thorpeness you can visit the Emporium antique shop, hire a local rowing boat or punt on the Mere, have a picnic lunch on the beach or eat in the beach café or Dolphin Pub.  Later on take a leisurely stroll back to Aldeburgh where you can buy some fresh caught fish, explore more interesting shops and galleries.  If you want to make an evening of it there are plenty of restaurants including a world famous fish and chip shop or visit the independent cinema.  Alternatively take in a concert at Snape Maltings.
