Take a day trip to York and start with a walk along the city walls. Next, treat yourself to a spot of refreshment at Betty’s Tea Room then walk off your cake with a stroll along The Shambles – Britain’s most picturesque street. For lunch, visit the peaceful gardens at Grays Court, an 11th-century historic house in the shadow of the Minster and cruise through on a boat trip along the River Ouse.
