Rustle up your favourite dish in the well-equipped designer kitchen and enjoy in the dining area alongside a crackling wood burner for those chilly winter months. After dinner, settle in the fabulous living area with large glass bi-fold doors which leads your eye immediately to the amazing views above the cottage roofs. Heading upstairs you will be greeted by two identical bedrooms both featuring en-suite shower rooms, carpeted throughout with double beds and crisp bed linen. Step outside the cottage and guests can enjoy a wonderful patio area with seating, the perfect place to escape to enjoy a glass of something cold on a summer’s eve after a hard day exploring the stunning local area.
Situated in the very heart of the lovely old village of Parwich, it boasts a delightful pub set on picturesque village green with a church, village hall, playground and many pretty cottages. Parwich dates back to the Saxon times and has an air of peace and tranquillity about it. The local pub is a traditional country pub in the serving cask ales and delicious home cooked food. Not only is it a pub, but should you require your groceries, it serves as the village shop. The nearby Manifold River cuts a course through superb scenery and is a delight for both walkers and cyclists, with the ’Manifold Trail’ following the route of the old Leek to Manifold Light Railway.
Nearby is the pretty village of Ilam, the award-winning village of Alstonefield, and Brassington, while golf, horse riding, cycling and sailing are all available within 7 miles. There are so many days out to enjoy such as Alton Towers, or visit the impressive Chatsworth House and Kedleston and Sudbury Halls. Also within easy reach are Matlock Bath and Carsington Water, while further afield are the market towns of Ashbourne and Leek. This really is the perfect place to stay to enjoy an abundance of things to see and do.
