Explore the Norfolk Broads, Norwich and National Trust properties, or simply relax in your own hot tub!

Cosy, bright and elegantly furnished throughout, Beech Barn might just offer the quintessential getaway to the Norfolk countryside for a family of 6 and their furry friend. Judging by its contemporary design and seductive interiors, it may be a little hard to believe that this seemingly new property actually dates back to the 1700s.

The living area holds firm to the property’s roots as a barn with a vaulted ceiling, indoor brickwork and a focal wood-burning stove. The wooden beams are highlighted by a backdrop of whitewashed walls and natural lighting which comes flooding in through the windows. Its combination of old and new makes the room a charming spot for socialising with friends. Similarly, the kitchen/diner has a rustic feel owing to its wooden surfaces yet comes equipped with modern appliances. Each bedroom leads into an en-suite and for those particularly large family gatherings, gourmet meals can be arranged with the owner, and the barn is on site with another property, Willow Barn (ref. CZB), accommodating up to 18 people. Sure enough, no detail has been overlooked; hot tub anyone? With its own private garden, your holiday in this secluded sanctuary is sure to go undisturbed.

When you can finally tear yourself away from the property, there’s a plethora of things to see and do in the area. The Broads National Park is a safe haven for wildlife, so if you’re heading to Alderfen Broad, be sure to bring your binoculars, and Horning is a quaint village oozing with old-world charms. Nearby, the Norfolk Coast never fails to disappoint – golden beaches backed by rolling sand dunes. For a change of pace, take a day trip to the vibrant city of Norwich. Its various shops are great for picking up souvenirs, and the market is packed full of locally-sourced produce for enjoying back at the barn.

The cottage is in need of maintainance to the building, especially paint work inside and out. Tumble dryer needs maintenance and the dishwasher needs replacing as the dishes came out almost as dirty - we had to hand wash most things. No sun loungers. No extre towels for hot tub, no dressing gowns, 1 bath towel each, no hand towels each although each sink had x1 only. no hair drier or usual amenities provided by other owners in cottages of this upper spec and cost. plenty of washing pegs but no line. the greetings pack was on the very thin side and came over as mean! no brushes for cleaning pots, no dishwasher tabs, no even basic aids for cooking-only salt. x4 loo rolls for a family for a week. The cottage did not come up to the expectations we have had from other similar spec and cost ones that we have had from you before.

Lovely, quiet cottage. The lounge was a particularly good space for a family to spend time together as it was light and airy by day and cosy - thanks to the log burner - by night. The dog loved running round the enclosed back garden.
