Hidden amongst the trees, this gem of a cottage started life as the potting shed for Bosloe’s gardeners. Standing detached, this perfect, romantic, little hideaway is in an idyllic location with views down the valley to the Helford River and beyond.The area is perfect for exploring this secret haven with the creeks and banks of the Helford River, the setting for Daphne du Maurier’s romantic novel ’Frenchman’s Creek’.The village of Mawnan Smith is just a 5-minute drive with a thatched pub serving excellent food and local ales. There is also a village store and post office, and a small square with a selection of local shops and a tea room.Falmouth is approximately 5 miles away with a great selection of restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and art galleries. Home of the National Maritime Museum located in the heart of Events Square, host to many colourful events throughout the year including sailing, food and music events, including the annual Oyster Festival.The area offers some of Cornwall’s best beaches and glorious coastal walks and The Bothy is perfectly located for exploring the beautiful sub-tropical gardens of neighbouring Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens, both open to the public.
