This homely, beautifully presented property sits close to two other holiday cottages, amidst the grounds of Old Brook House Estate. The rural location is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers an idyllic place to ‘get away from it all’ and truly relax with family or friends. Sleeping four guests, Northbrook is perfect for a small family or is equally suitable for two couples holidaying together.Brook House, which sits in the grounds, dates back to the 12th-century. The house has had many owners throughout the years, and many famous people have come and gone, including Henry VII, Winston Churchill, Lloyd George, the Astor’s, the Prince of Wales (Edward VII) and Queen Mary. During World War II the property was requisitioned by the War Office, and became the home of Canadian soldiers. After the war had ended, the house was converted into flats, but today is united under the ownership of one family again.Northbrook provides delightful accommodation for guests looking to relax and unwind, in a location steeped in history. Why not spend a day visiting the Osborne House, the former royal residence? Or, alternatively, the oldest lighthouse location in Britain, St. Catherine’s Lighthouse is well worth a visit.
