Standing amidst 3,000 acres of stunning grounds, this grand and luxurious historic house offers a unique destination, perfect for all occasions.

Nestled within 3,000 acres of the Broughton Hall Estate, amidst Yorkshire Dales countryside, this spectacular historic house is truly inspiring. Encompassed by 19th Century formal gardens, and dating back to 1597, the magnificent, Grade I listed Broughton Hall is rich in history and whispers of its long forgotten past. Currently owned by the 32nd generation of the Tempest family, this extravagant manor really is one of a kind.

Once you step inside you’ll be sure to fall in love with the intricate detailing found throughout every room, emanating a sense of character and charm. Meticulously furnished with high attention to detail, boasting opulent décor, this lavish abode is fit for a king. From the delicate mouldings, to the beautiful wood carved feature walls, it retains a comfortable and homely charm, making it a fantastic home from home which never fails to impress. Delve into the collection of books available in the library, or even take a look at some of the architect’s original drawings. Sit back and relax in either the Red or Green Drawing Rooms, complete with classic furnishings, picture windows overlooking the garden and roaring open fires, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance. The drawing rooms have an interconnecting door, which can be opened creating a grand space, ideal for family gatherings, celebrations, or even a wedding. For a added luxury, there is always someone on hand to light fires, turn down the beds and cater to your every need. The owner has thoughtfully provided a complementary welcome pack including wine, milk and a selection of delicious homemade cakes.

Socialise in the billiard room, complete will a full-size billiard table, Bose iPod dock and antique dolls house, built by the current owners’ grandfather from old cigar boxes! This is the perfect space for entertaining. An ideal place to spend time with your loved ones is the magnificent dining room where you can enjoy meals made by the Estates’ chef and his team, so you don’t have to lift a finger during your stay. Breakfast taken amidst the greenery of the bright and airy conservatory is superb, with its marvellous hand-painted mural as a backdrop, whilst you plan your day’s activities. Whether you spend part of your day on the tennis court or exploring the stunning Estate, you’ll never be stuck for things to do. Your exact catering requirements can be discussed with the Hall team and they will confirm costs to you directly. Prices start from £100 per person/day.
