A lovely cottage that may have once been four star but is no longer. Gives an impression of being run on a shoestring - for example no welcome pack so no cleaning materials which were desperately needed to clean most areas of the kitchen, particularly the wooden drain board, before preparing any foods. Had to go quarter mile to local shop even before unpacking . Cottage needs money to be spent on thorough cleaning and redecoration and much of the equipment, especially in the kitchen, needs renewing - for example chipped cups and plates and no salt or pepper pots. As mentioned by others, there is no Wi-Fi. Too many criticisms to list, all admittedly relatively minor but, compared to other four star cottages and taken together, they preclude a favourable review.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Firstly, the cottage is not run on a shoestring. We were sorry to hear of your disappointment with the cleanliness and no cleaning materials, if you had contacted us whilst you were staying there we could have arranged to had these things rectified. There were salt and pepper pots in there recently. With reference to the WiFi - the cottage is not advertised as having this and the cottage agency do not feel, at present, that this is a necessity as our booking rates are high. We regularly monitor the feed back requests for this addition and may decide to add this.
