Situated in the picturesque Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, within easy reach of quaint Cotswold villages and Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill.

Come away with family and friends to this beautifully presented, Cotswold stone, semi-detached holiday home. This is the perfect getaway all year round with an outdoor swimming pool in the generous-sized garden, ideal for relaxing in during the summer months. Inside, the inviting wood burner in the living room is perfect for those chillier evenings. It is a very social space with a great kitchen area opening into dining space and a garden room with doors that fully open onto the garden, bringing the outside in. The living room can be opened up into the garden room but can also be shut off for a cosy evening.

Cotswolds Country House is located in the beautiful village of Kingham, which was once voted England’s favourite by Country Life. The house is situated in a newer part of the village, a few minutes walk from its centre.
The picture-postcard Cotswolds towns and villages of Moreton-in-Marsh, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold, are all within a 10-mile drive where you can sample traditional cream teas, shop in the many independent shops or eat in many village pubs. Witney, Bicester, with its expanding designer outlet shopping village, Banbury, Chipping Campden and Blenheim Palace in Woodstock are also easily accessible. Slightly further afield are Cheltenham, famous for its annual horse racing festival, the historic university city of Oxford, and Warwick where you’ll find the historic castle and Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon. Visit National Trust Chasleton House, Hidcote Manor or Kiftsgate Court. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Lovely village and an easy walk to the village shops and pubs. House spacious with a well appointed kitchen. Outdoor pool not actually heated which was a disappointment as was one of the primary reasons we chose this cottage. Upstairs main bathroom WC seat needs attention. Overall pricing expensive compared to other cottages in the area of similar standard but very helpful owners.

Great cottage in good location for Kingham. Very clean. Helpful owners. Good value for money. The situation of the house is slightly out of the main village, but is only a short walk.

We felt that the cottage was a little disappointing. The cottage is on the outskirts of Kingham, not in the most attractive part of the village. On arrival the cleanliness was well below what we would expect and have experienced at other places, this included muddy boot footprints in the only shower cubicle, marks in the bath in the main bedroom and dust on the television stand. It also felt a bit cold. It felt as though it was ready for updating in a few areas.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We're sorry to hear this feedback. Although we were surprised that the level of cleanliness was below our housekeepers usual high standards, we immediately raised the matter with her and have put in place a system to avoid any potential oversights. Regarding the temperature of the house, within the house manual left in the kitchen, there were details of how to adjust the heating and our contact details in case of any issues. We'd have been happy to help with any questions if you'd have called or emailed us. As you correctly state, the house is not within those properties in the village that were built in the 17th or 18th century, but is situated less than a 7 minutes’ walk from the main village and its two pubs.

This was a lovely comfortable property to stay in with all home comforts and necessary facilities and amenities. What made it more special were the considerate extras - milk in the fridge on arrival and a start hamper. We had a great time. The village is good with its 2 pubs and village shop all within walking distance and it is useful that Kingham has a train station. We so enjoyed the weekend we had in this property.
