Cowford Oast lies in the owner’s grounds surrounded by beautiful, established gardens and tranquil rolling hills, forests and fields. Yet the bustling spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is less than 5 miles away. The area is closely tied with the Neville family who arrived in England with William the Conqueror and settled at Eridge Park. One of their guests, Dudley Lord North, discovered the iron rich Chalybeate Spring and Tunbridge Wells was born. You too can meet the ’Dipper’, taste the waters and promenade along The Pantiles. Alternatively hone your culinary skills at the Rosemary Shrager Cookery School. Explore the plethora of footpaths on the doorstep, visit vineyards at Lamberhurst, stunning gardens such as Penshurst Place, Groombridge Place and Scotney Castle Gardens, which can all be reached within 15 minutes. Fishing and golf are available locally, and there are good rail connections to London for further sightseeing opportunities. Beach 26 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

The Cowford Oast was so lovely. Beautiful gardens and tranquil location. So quiet and relaxing - just what we needed. The owners gave us our own space but were on hand if needed and we were warmly welcomed. Accommodation was cosy and spacious, two adjectives that don't usually go together - but they do here. Highly recommended! There are plenty of lovely local walks but if you wanted to go further afield you'd probably need a car.

Some may find the location somewhat isolated but it suited us as it is lovely and quiet and well worth travelling through narrow lanes to get anywhere. The seating and bed are comfortable, much better than many previous cottages. The owners are lovely people and the welcome pack was lovely. As regular self caterers, we usually pack extra towels, cleaning materials etc but there really is no need, it is all very well set up. People used to town living may need to make some winding down adjustments, it is very tranquil.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback - we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Cowford. We are very fortunate to be in such a peaceful area and yet still only 10 mins drive from Tunbridge Wells and glad that you enjoyed the tranquility too.

Fairly well equipped, well maintained, nicely decorated cottage with all the equipment top-of-the-range brands. Lovely welcome package provided the immediate necessities with some luxury added. More than big enough for the 2 of us, although a good thing only had 1 car as was tight turning in what was described as "parking for 2 cars". However, even knowing that we would return sometime. And this time we wouldn't have to read property name boards (sat-nav runs out half mile before the property when driving from Tunbridge Wells)

Response on behalf of the owner; Thanks for your feedback. I will review the directions that come with booking confirmation - these should be good enough to get you to the Oast without sat nav but I will check.
