This Grade II* listed stable conversion is part of the only longhouse in Wiltshire dating back to the 13th century and is the oldest house in the village. Surrounded by rolling countryside and situated in the peaceful conservation village of Colerne it offers a beautifully refurbished holiday destination. All the original charm and character has been retained yet you can also enjoy all modern conveniences. Impressive beams consume the interior and triple aspect windows in the living area bring in plenty of light. A wooden staircase leads to a heavily beamed galleried double bedroom with additional single bed. Outside, guests have use of a small, enclosed, lawned garden with furniture, perfect for dining al fresco during the summer months. Colerne itself has a good selection of shops and pubs but just 7 miles away, and easily accessible by bus, is Chippenham and the Georgian city of Bath. Spend a day exploring the delights of the city from the imposing cathedral to the Roman Baths, then return to this beautiful longhouse for a relaxing evening in the country. Within easy reach of Bristol, Bradford-on-Avon and the much-filmed villages of Lacock and Castle Combe. For lovers of the outdoors this is a great area for walking.
Large, open-plan living/dining room with triple aspect windows and kitchen area. Shower room with double shower cubicle and toilet. Wooden stairs to first floor: Gallery double bedroom with additional single bed (for +1). Wooden floor and beams throughout.
