A cosy bolthole for two in the heart of Dartmoor - enjoy a weekend break and an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Capturing views over the River Dart, this romantic bolthole is situated in the heart of Dartmoor National Park. Just off the beaten track, there is no better place to spend some well-needed quality time with your loved one. This detached, traditional, granite barn is nestled in beautiful Dartmeet, home to the ancient clapper bridge. The surrounding area is full of scenic walks through the dazzling countryside and strolls along the river arm in arm with the one you love. The small Dartmoor village of Widecombe-on-the-Moor is nearby and lays claim to the world-famous church known as ‘Cathedral on the Moor’. There are also plenty of other quaint villages nearby with an array of traditional tea rooms, pubs and restaurants.
Head back to Fisherman’s Nook and fall in love with this lovingly furnished barn, complete with exposed stone walls and floods of natural light. Rest your tired eyes in the cosy kingsize bedroom with sloping ceilings and picture window boasting views over the countryside. Wake up in the morning and tuck into the complimentary continental breakfast – what a way to start your day. You could even enjoy your breakfast al fresco in the snug sitting-out area, whilst you bask under the summer sun.
If you wish to gaze over the surrounding area from a more cosy location, then the convenient first floor living room is perfect. This wonderful room is ideal for spending an evening in front of the Freesat TV with a glass of your favourite tipple after a day exploring Dartmoor. Make the most of the well-equipped kitchen and cook up a meal made with love, to be savoured by candle light. With all these amazing facilities on offer, there are many opportunities to spend quality time with your loved one, creating memories you’ll never forget.

If you’re looking to just grab a bag and escape to the country to recharge your batteries then I can not recommend Fisherman’s Nook enough. This beautiful cottage has everything you would need so don’t worry about forgetting anything. The host Danny clearly takes pride in her beautiful home as well as ensuring her guests are informed of all the best places to visit. My partner, dog and I had the best week away. The walks are phenomenal and coming home to a warm, cosy cottage for a glass of wine and dinner made it simply perfect. Even our dog Peggy Sue has comfy fleece “dog” blankets provided for her. We would love to come back again. Thank you Danny x
