If you are looking for something a little special to celebrate an occasion or looking for that extra bit of comfort after long day walking or exploring then look no further than the cottages at Glasses Farm. Nestling in the pretty landscape within Exmoor National Park, Grooms Lodge (ref: EVA) and Stable Cottage (ref: EVB), have been converted form the original stables of an impressive 16th century thatched long house. Both these thatched cottages have been presented to a very high standard. The cottages offer a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Each cottage has a private sitting-out area that looks out across the well-maintained shared garden. There are a further 20 acres of land to enjoy too. The owner of the cottages is a renowned breeder of American miniature horses. Should you choose to come and stay with friends, the cottages do have an adjoining door on the first floor. The cottages are located just outside the charming village of Roadwater, where there is a shop and pub all within walking distance of the cottages. There is superb scenery and walking on the South West Coastal Path or inland on Exmoor, and many other places to visit to make a memorable holiday. The Victorian villages of Lynmouth and Lynton, famous for the Watersmeet Gorge (NT), Valley of the Rocks and the funicular cliff railway. Looking towards Minehead, there is the promenade to enjoy walking and an ice cream, as well as having a good array of shops and other amenities. The West Somerset Railway is worth a visit for those with an interest in stream engines. Dunster Castle (NT) and village, with its beautiful terraced gardens, Deer Park and Mill will make for an interesting day out, as well as Porlock Weir. There are beaches at Dunster and Blue Anchor for all to enjoy. Shops 500 yards, pub 300 yards.

Large, beamed kitchen/dining room with slate floor. Double bedroom with 6ft bed and en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and toilet. First floor: Large, beamed living room.

A really lovely, peaceful location. Owners are very helpful and amenable. The cottage was better equipped than expected and certainly very clean. The location is very handy for visiting all the recommended places in and around Exmoor and the village has a lovely pub serving excellent food and local beer/cider, and a community shop which is open quite long hours.

It was a very well appointed cosy cottage, in a quiet location, the owners of the cottage were helpful and friendly, giving us advice and information on places of interest in the surrounding areas. The cottage is an ideal place for touring Exmoor villages. there is a local pub with friendly staff and good food, there is also a village shop within walking distance.
