You’ll love this romantic bolthole! Enjoy bubbles and a long soak on the terrace in the outdoor Victorian clay bathtub while gazing up into the famous Northumberland dark skies.

This beautifully restored Bothy is set on a working farm in rural Northumberland. With pristine ancient woodland views and rolling landscape as far as the eye can see, leave the hustle and bustle and escape into nature. With quirky interiors combining traditional features like the oak beams, flagged floors, range fireplace and wood burner with modern facilities, rustic touches and stylish furnishings. The quirky mezzanine has a king size bed, and glass balustrade overlooking the living area below, be prepared for the low beams, although restricting height make this a romantic little haven of its own. With exposed stone, high ceilings and eclectic lighting the living space is open plan and quirky. In the winter months you will love to get cosy and enjoy your favourite movie in front of the wood burner, no need to go far with a cosy dining area for your romantic supper and a shaker style kitchen well equipped to cater for your needs. A sliding barn style door rolls back to reveal a smart bathroom with walk-in double rainfall style shower. The location is breath-taking, imagine waking up to the peace and quiet of the countryside and taking your morning coffee outside and being at one with nature. With table and chairs, the terrace is a lovely place to sit and unwind.
Just under 3 miles from Langley Castle and within a 20 min walk of the local village Inn, The Cart Bog. There are plenty of opportunities for walkers and cyclists. The John Martin Heritage Trail passes right by the door or visit the national Trust site of Allen Banks and Staward Gorge, a Victorian garden in a gorge of the River Allen cutting through beautiful woodland. For those seeking adventure, try wild water swimming on the River Allen, a 20-minute walk. The Northumberland National Park is a 20 minute drive, here you can walk Hadrian’s Wall and visit the Roman settlements, House steads Roman Fort, Vindolanda and the Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre.
The historic town of Hexham is under 10 miles with an array of shops, cafés, restaurants and attractions including Hexham Old Gaol and Hexham Abbey. Other popular Northumbrian villages include Corbridge, Bardon Mill, Haydon Bridge and Haltwhistle, all within an easy 30 minutes. A little further afield visit Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead for the Metrocentre, Beamish Living Museum, the cathedral city of Durham and the award-winning beaches of the North East coast including Whitley Bay and Tynemouth.
