This detached three-bedroom cottage lies on an exclusive lakeside development and is built with delightful Cotswold stone. It offers a tranquil haven for nature lovers and this beautiful area of the Cotswold Water Parks boasts a wealth of migrant birds and diverse wildlife (including a family of beavers). The property is situated on Lower Mill Estate, within a quiet and peaceful conservation area, not suited to those seeking lively or social activities. If you are coming to the Cotswold Water Park for stargazing or to enjoy the surroundings with family and friends, then Jacobs Cottage is the place for you.
As you enter the cottage you will find a large hallway and a downstairs toilet on the ground floor. The open plan living space opens out onto the decked area with outdoor furniture and a BBQ for the warmer days. In winter you can curl up on the sofa, watch the Smart TV, enjoy the wood burner and settle down with a DVD. The property also benefits from superfast broadband. The dining area, in front of the fire, has a large table to seat up to six guests; on warmer days a large table in the front garden accommodates six. On the first floor are three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom has slight views over the lake and a Smart TV, the second double bedroom has a dressing table. The third is of good size and has a triple bunk bed, a desk and games for children. The family bathroom features a large walk-in shower and bath.
Jacobs Cottage is set within Mill Village, part of the Lower Mill Estate private nature reserve. Lower Mill Estate is made up of seven lakes, rivers, meadows, and woodland. It is built around a large and diverse nature reserve supporting a range of wonderful habitats and wildlife. The nature reserve and surrounding lakes offer a variety of water sports from open water swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing to fishing in tranquil settings. As guests of Jacobs Cottage, you will also benefit from on-site facilities, including an enclosed children’s play area, tennis courts and Mill Village’s heated outdoor swimming pool. There is an on-site shop that provides you with day-to-day essentials and extra logs. You also have access to the Lower Mill Estate’s private restaurant, The Ballihoo.
Walking opportunities abound and the Thames footpath runs through the estate; there are also many walking/cycling routes close by. Please note that you only have access to Mill Village’s outdoor pool and there is no spa access. Mill Village is in the beautiful Cotswold Village of Somerford Keynes where there is plenty to see and do out of the Lower Mill Estate. Cotswolds Country Park and Beach is within walking distance; the man-made beach has a variety of water sports activities, climbing activities and BBQ hire. There are also numerous lakes close by where you can take part in water sport activities. There are plenty of country pubs, cafés and restaurants close by. For any activities it is advised to book in advance. Shop and restaurant on-site.

Outdoor heated swimming pool (open all year 8am/9am for families-8pm in summer/dusk) with changing facilities and sauna (shared with other properties on-site). Children’s soft play area at cost, tennis courts, table tennis and artificial surface football pitch (shared with other properties on-site). Fishing on-site. Private parking for 1 car; additional parking in residents’ car park (not allocated). No smoking. Please note: Sorry, no hen or stag parties.
