Lavender Cottage is an exceptionally beautiful cottage dating back to the 1700s. This traditional, detached Lakeland cottage simply oozes character and charm, from the picture postcard exterior and colourful gardens, 2-acre grounds through to the flagged floors, wood burner, exposed oak beams. The furnishings and décor not only complement the age of the property but also portray a winning combination of comfort, quality and modern day styling. Just a short drive away from the peace and quiet guests can pop in to the historic market town of Kendal or much loved Windermere and Bowness nearby.
Kendal, sitting on the River Kent offers something for everyone, including culture, history, an eclectic mix of retailers and a wealth of cafés and international restaurants. A few miles away, Lake Windermere offers steamer rides across the lake and the traditional Lakeland villages that dot its shores. Both Bowness and Windermere are able to offer a good selection of independent retailers, pavement cafés and traditional inns. Likewise, the many hamlets and villages in the area offer visitors a glimpse into Lakeland life and a choice of walks – glorious fell routes or picturesque riverside rambles, the choice is yours. Pub within a mile.

Beautiful and peaceful with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Welcome pack and fire ready to light was a lovely surprise . Very calm and therapeutic to listen to the wildlife right outside the cottage. Close to Windermere and other attractions. Large enclosed garden ideal for our dog to run around and Willow loved it as much as we did. Would go back again and again when in that area. Great family house .
