A stunning five bedroom property in an idyllic countryside setting, with far reaching views to the Welsh mountains.

Encompassed by idyllic countryside, tucked away in rural Herefordshire, this wonderful farmhouse has been beautifully restored with your comfort in mind. There is an indescribable quality to Maybley, from the luxurious furnishings to the original beams adorning the ceilings, there is so much on offer.
This wonderful home from home has a subtle blend of traditional and contemporary, creating a cosy and homely environment. The extensive living room boasts all you need to enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by your loved ones. Two glowing wood burners can be found at either end of the room, so you will be sure to find a perfect spot to settle down with a good book. If striking views are what you long for, take a seat in the bright and airy sun room with picture windows and French doors leading to the terrace.
Outdoors, treat yourself to a hearty meal and rustle up something tasty on the barbecue, or try your hand at homemade pizza using the pizza oven. Sit back in the heated seating area, finished with an old cider mill and restored Byre, and enjoy a glass of bubbly as you look up at the starry sky.
Conveniently located close to the market town of Bromyard, find the best local produce for fine dining back at the farmhouse. When you’re not dining al fresco, the well-equipped, contemporary kitchen/dining room is ideal for creating a lovely family meal using the electric Aga. Mabley is a beautiful home and we would highly recommend it. The lovely decor and the quality of the renovations are even better in person than they appear in photos. Here is a list of positives which might be of help to other guests. The beds are very comfortable and the twins that zip into kings provide flexibility to configure the bedrooms exactly as needed. The luxurious bedding was a pleasure as were the 4 well functioning bath/shower rooms. The master bedroom suite was truly a retreat and even in winter the view from the balcony was delightful. The kitchen is very well equipped with a fabulously large fridge freezer and all the cooking appliances one could possibly need. We were together for a family Christmas and we cooked most of our meals at Mabley. We enjoyed trying out the Aga and the pizza oven. Two separate sitting rooms provided getaway space which we also enjoyed. The sunroom has spectacular views, also much more beautiful in person than in pictures, and the living rooms with the wood burning stoves are cosy and comfortable. The owners of Mabley are very helpful and welcoming and the "welcome basket" was a delight. In summary, this is a fabulous house!

We celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary at Mabley with our family. The house was everything we had hoped for and suited everyone's needs. A lot of love and care had gone into making it a very special place to stay. The furnishings and decor were of the highest standard. Full instructions were given for all appliances. The welcome basket was amazing, including wine, cheese, home made cake, a steak pie and lots of goodies from local suppliers. Games room was well used by the older children and adults, as the weather was wet. There was plenty of room for 10 of us. Occasionally it was a bit chilly. We all felt that we would like to return there in warmer weather.

A lovely "cottage" (actually a large house) very well equipped with lots of space both inside and outside. Modern comforts combined with traditional features and the option of dining inside or al fresco, and relaxing - either in the traditional sitting room, or in the modern conservatory, or outside in the open or under a shelter. The views across the countryside from the terrace are lovely. The games room was great fun but we were blessed with good weather so we didn't make as much use of it as we might have done had it rained. Our only criticism is that the kitchen was a bit too high tech for us (using the hob was a challenge!) and, considering there was more than enough crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment, it was surprising that only one tea-towel was supplied for a whole week (we had to request an extra one). Plus the flies (of which there were a lot) - but that's the countryside for you.

Good location with motorway and rail connections not too far away but sufficiently distant to make this a peaceful destination. The 'cottage' has a stunning aspect, a slight draw down is that the local village is just too far to walk to with no path to avoid the road. The cottage, with its games room and outdoor amenities, is superbly kitted out and ideal for a large family gathering, whilst the local area offers numerous wide ranging attractions. In particular if you enjoy good food you will not be disappointed by the local produce and range of pubs/restaurants. Finally, the owners who live nearby do not intrude but are very welcoming.
