Manor Cottage has a fabulous location between Crantock and Porth (Polly) Joke beaches. Both beaches involve quite a steep climb down, although Crantock can be be easily accessed by road via Crantock village. There is also a pub and a very good restaurant within 200 yards, both with great views of Crantock beach. The nearest shop and bus stop are in Crantock a 20 minute walk away. There is off road parking for one large car or possibly two small ones. The property has been modernised since we lasted visited 8 years ago and has a reasonable kitchen, a much improved bathroom and much better mattresses. It has, however, lost some of its charm. Overall, a good place to stay for up to four people.

Thank you for your review. We would, as would our other guests agree with you that the cottage is in a fabulous location and within walking distance of two wonderful beaches and has nearby a pub and as you say ‘very good restaurant’. When we took ownership of the cottage the accommodation could only sleep 3 and many aspects were tired and impractical. We spent a great deal of money and time modernising the old-fashioned bathroom that did not have a shower and kitchen which had very old appliances. We are delighted that you note that the bathroom is much improved and that the mattresses really much better. We completely replaced all the furniture, fittings and electrical appliances but we retained the ‘listed ‘ staircase and feel that all improvements were done sympathetically as our guests in our previous reviews have acknowledged.
