Imaginatively formed within a charming group of barns and set in superb landscaped shared gardens. Great facilities such as an indoor heated swimming pool and a sauna (open from February to December) and a further barn offers facilities for table tennis, pool table, ‘fun’ netball and badminton. There is a spacious play area within a walled garden with swings, sand pit, adventure playground and BBQ area, large lawned area with raised decking, complete with garden furniture and views over the surrounding countryside. A great under 5’s inside play area is just off the decked area. The gardens are a riot of colour, with flower beds, tubs, hanging baskets and courtyards and paved terraces. There is also a stocked fishing lake (rods not supplied) and children are welcome to help feed the animals; goats, ponies, kune kune pigs, sheep, lambs and guinea pigs. The cottages themselves have been meticulously converted. All are tastefully furnished and decorated throughout, and comprehensively equipped. The properties have their own patios with furniture (Hyssop and Lovage Cottages have their own enclosed lawned garden). They are ideal for holidays at any time of the year – all properties have wood burners and are heated throughout. This region is the perfect area to visit at anytime of year and is especially beautiful in the quieter off-season months. The village of Kingswear itself is set on the Dart estuary opposite Dartmouth – which can be reached via ferry.
