This is a lovely old cottage that is well equipped and has a nice garden. The location is superb, close to Seven Sisters and nice walking trails, and a good pub is on a few minutes walk distance. The owner provides coffee, tea, cookies, fresh flowers and interesting information about the surroundings. This all sounds very good, however there are some drawbacks that need to be mentioned: (1) on the website it is mentioned that the ceilings are low, but in fact they are VERY low. The doorways, window walls and other spots are even lower, so we (medium tall persons, 1.75-1.79 m) bumped our heads several times a day. This should be mentioned more clearly during booking (as is done in the housebook). (2) the road is quite noisy, cars pass the cottage frequently. (3) there was a unpleasant smell in the kitchen.

A very comfortable cottage, well placed for walkers who want to explore the glorious countryside. Warmly welcomed by the owner, and next door neighbour, we valued her good suggestions about pubs and local walks. We had a most enjoyable week and would certainly return...and recommend this house to others.
