Welcoming but not intrusive hosts. Lots of info in the cottage for things to do. Warm and cosy in bad weather. Walking boots and waterproofs a must!

Pegg Inn Cottage is small, simple and wonderfully situated for walking and sight seeing in the Peak District. It is not a fully equiped modern box, which was part of its charm for us, but may not suit everyone. The owners are helpful, friendly and live next door. The building has several drawbacks, which might affect peoples enjoyment of the property. The stairs are quite tight, although my 82 year old mother coped with them, the neighbours can be heard in the kitchen, and perhaps most importantly the bathroom is in effect an en-suite. If there are 3 people in the cottage, the person staying in the single room has to go into the main bedroom to use the loo, or have a shower. Overall, however, we had a great stay and would happily go back again.
