If it’s a rural getaway you crave, look no further than Pye Cottage. Nestled in the historic village of Souldern, this quaint, detached cottage has been lovingly furnished with your comfort in mind. Situated close to the owner’s home, this single-storey residence is ideal for less mobile guests with detachable handrails and slip mats for the shower provided.
Step inside and be greeted by a warm and welcoming environment, making you feel right at home. Enjoy well deserved rest, and lull yourself to sleep in one of three elegant and comfy bedrooms, with cream and pastel décor. It’s the perfect place to lay your head after a day of exploring the area.
Open plan and full of charm, this wonderful living space has floods of natural light, stone flooring and beams adorning the ceiling. Snuggle up in the living area in front of the warming wood burner and watch a film on the 40” TV, or relax and take in the garden view through the French doors. Step outside and have a game of tennis on the tennis court, shared with the owner, a perfect way to pass the time whilst making the most of the summer sun. Rustle up something flavourful on the barbecue and enjoy dining al fresco on the sun trapped terrace – what a way to spend an evening.
When the sun isn’t shining you can always savour a home cooked meal prepared in the chic and well-equipped kitchen area. Whatever the weather, what better way of spending time with your loved ones than enjoying a delicious family meal together.
When you’re not making the most of all the facilities available at Pye Cottage, venture outside and discover the area and nearby Cotswolds. The town of Bicester offers plenty of opportunities for shopping at its designer outlet, as does nearby Banbury. Why not make a visit to the World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace, home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough? If you don’t wish to travel far, you can always take a stroll through the beautiful village of Souldern, and stop at the pub for a glass of your favourite tipple.
So whether you’re cosying up in front of the wood burner, or basking in the sun on the terrace, Pye Cottage will be sure to make you feel at home.

Beautiful cottage, best we have stayed in in 30 years. Decor very elegant, kitchen excellent, bedrooms lovely, bathroom well appointed, no bath but we prefer that. Garden full of flowers. Amazing welcome “pack” with wine n home made cake, homemade jam and marmalade, fruit, butter, fresh orange , bread, biscuits and beautiful dahlias from the owners garden which she replaced midweek . There was a sun trap of a garden with comfortable garden furniture. A well kept medium sized lawn which would suit children . Lots of places to visit from National Trust to RHS to Bletchley Park and more. And in addition the Fox Inn next door with good pub grub and friendly staff. Open daily but beware it shuts on a Sunday at 5pm!! we’ll b back !!
