The kitchen is fit with cream gloss units and fully equipped with everything you need for your holiday. You might like to sit around the dining table and enjoy casual dining or a glass of wine. Once housing all the turbines used for producing electricity for the Yorkshire Dales, there are still some pulleys on show in the living room today. A wood burner and comfortable sofas invite you to curl up and relax, perfect for a romantic night in after a day exploring the countryside.Upstairs are two comfortable bedrooms, stylishly decorated with crisp bed linen and Voyage soft furnishings. The fully tiled bathroom has fluffy towels and Neals Yard toiletries to pamper you. A short walk and to the front of the property is an enclosed patio, set with garden furniture, built-in BBQ and firepit - a perfect place to sit and enjoy this idyllic spot with a glass of wine listening to the sounds of the river just over the wall.Set in the beautiful countryside of Swaledale, this period cottage dates from the 1800s and is surrounded by farmland and stunning views from every window. It is so quiet and tranquil in this corner of the village, all you can hear are the birds, the sheep and the Arkle beck which runs nearby. Only a short walk away from the centre of Reeth, guests will find a local village shop, bakery, tea shops, cafés and a popular pub that serves great quality food. There are many public footpaths and cycle paths that lead right from the heart of the village and out beyond into Swaledale, Wensleydale and nearby Arkengarthdale, taking in magnificent views. Castle Bolton, West Burton and Harmby offer weekly farmers’ markets selling local produce and goods.The historic market town of Richmond is just a short drive with its Norman castle, Georgian theatre and quaint cobbled streets, surrounded by a good selection of tea rooms, gift shops and convenience stores. From here you can enjoy a riverside walk to Easby Abbey which lies in picturesque surroundings by the River Swale. Easby is one of the best preserved monasteries of the Premonstratensian ’White Canons’, with the magnificent refectory, gatehouse and canons’ dormitory remaining. The popular market town of Leyburn is 10 miles, where a buzzing market lines the streets every Friday with stallholders selling a wide array of produce.The green rolling hills of Wensleydale lie to the west of Leyburn with many historic, inspiring landmarks. Just 2 miles from Leyburn is Middleham, famous for its racehorses, and castle that was home to Richard III. The North York Moors National Park is within a ½-hour drive, with attractions such as Sutton Bank, where you can take in the breathtaking views, or spend your day strolling around the market towns of Thirsk, Bedale and Northallerton. The Lake District National Park can be reached in just over an hour. Beach 41 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.Turbine House can be booked together with Greystones (UK2437), Charlies Stable (UK2439) and Burton House (UK10607) to accommodate up to 16 guests.
