Being situated on the border of Matlock and Matlock Bath, there is direct access from the property to walking trails including the Limestone Way. The splendid Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the National Tramway Museum at Crich are close by, or take advantage of good walking around the Derwent Valley and White Peak and cycling at Carsington Water and the High Peak Cycle Trail. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

The cottage was clean, well presented, in a quirky location and very close to good amenities. There is plenty to see and do to keep you busy through the day a great places to eat also close at hand. The only slight criticism is, the pillows were very thin and a none stick frying pan would of been good but neither of these spoilt a enjoyable few days in a very pleasant cottage.
