If you are looking for a luxurious, stylish and stunningly presented property then look no further! Root Farm Cottage is a scenic, rural escape. Set in the heart of the Forest of Bowland in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this detached beautifully presented holiday cottage has been lovingly converted with great attention to quality of fabrics and internal finishes, all co-ordinated by an interior designer to create a wonderfully ambient atmosphere. The property has two beautiful bedrooms, both well-equipped with charming en-suite facilities offering ideal accommodation and privacy for two couples holidaying together. The living room has a cosy wood-burning stove, creating a warm, relaxing and inviting area to rest tired feet after a day exploring. Two pets are also accepted at the property, and with plenty of walks available direct from the door, it is the perfect excuse to bring along your four legged friend. Sit out, relax and enjoy the beautiful lawned garden, providing an idyllic place to simply reflect on the surroundings. The owners have paid so much attention to detail to ensure you have everything you need for a peaceful and tranquil retreat. There’s no need to worry about amenities when you arrive as the owners provide the perfect welcome pack.

Root Farm Cottage forms part of the stunning Whitewell Estate, which is owned by Her Majesty the Queen in her capacity as the Duchy of Lancaster. The Queen last visited the estate in 2006 and it is known to be one of her favourite parts of the Duchy’s rural estates, so why not come and see why she loves this picturesque area so much. The cottage lies within walking distance of Dunsop Bridge, which is regarded to be the geographic centre of the United Kingdom. An ideal location with walks direct from the door. There are quiet lanes for cyclists and challenging off-road terrain for the more adventurous or for those who love to admire the wildlife, a wide selection of birds can be observed.

Loved Root Farm and it's beautiful surrounding location. So sorry that it has taken us so long to discover that it is as beautiful as the Lake District.

A beautiful cottage in a breathtaking location. We enjoyed a lovely week of walking and visiting local villages. Alison is so welcoming and nothing is too much. A gorgeous hamper on arrival with lovely local bits. The cottage itself is immaculately clean and has everything you can think of needing. We especially loved the very thoughtful warm tap outside for muddy paws! Such a great idea and the dogs were very grateful of the warm hose down after a day of exploring! Clitheroe is nearby and a great visit for the market and the Cafe Nero coffee shop is dog friendly which was a bonus! There is a lovely castle ruin to explore too. Slaidburn has a lovely circular walk and tea room. There are lots of local pubs that are dog friendly too. The logburner was a welcome cosy addition after getting soaked in the rain! Would recommend to anybody! Just a very relaxing and enjoyable stay! Such a gem!
