Here you will find a charming cobbled market place and a wide selection of shops, restaurants and real ale pubs. Buxton and Ashbourne can both be reached in under half an hour, as can the Three Shires Head, which is the meeting point of the counties of Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire. Chatsworth House, Matlock and Matlock Bath with the famous cable car ride to the Heights of Abraham, can all be reached in approximately 45 minutes, as can Trentham Gardens, Monkey Forest, and the National Trust’s Little Moreton Hall. Finally with Alton Towers just 20 minutes away, there really is the option to do as much or as little as you like. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 2¼ miles.

An amazing place to go and stay to get away from it all. Watching the sunrise from the hot tub was just amazing. Made to feel so welcome and the owners were super helpful. Highly recommend and will book again soon. Loved the welcome treats for us and the dogs - thank you.

Response on behalf of the owner; We are very glad you enjoyed your stay at the cottage, the weather was glorious that weekend. I think you must be the first group to see the sunrise from the hot tub though most have seen the sunset. Peanut was very cute and it looked as though he enjoyed his time at the farm. We look forward to welcoming you all back in the near future.

This is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed at, we had everything we needed for a relaxing comfortable break. The owners could not do more to ensure we had a great stay. Some lovely pubs all in close distance to the cottage with great food and service.
