The ground floor is open plan with a large wood burner taking centre stage, there is a well equipped quality kitchen complete with coffee machine, comfy living/dining area, cocktail bar and patio doors opening onto your own private garden, complete with hot tub. Upstairs is a sumptuous galleried bedroom where the bed is so comfortable you’ll leave only when you are ready to languish in the roll-top bath or enjoy the large walk-in shower, both of which are large enough for two!
Sunnyside Cottage overlooks Barbon Beck and is a 5-minute walk from the village where you will find a welcoming local pub and the renowned lovely delicatessen selling local produce alongside its café which attracts foodies, cyclists and walkers alike. Just a few miles down the road is Kirkby Lonsdale, a traditional Cumbrian market town. Kirkby Lonsdale sits on the River Lune, a hot spot for motorcyclists, walkers and cyclists gathering at the renowned Devil’s Bridge. The town has a lot to offer and boasts an abundance of traditional pubs, fine dining restaurants, charming tea rooms and boutique shops. Why not enjoy a visit to the famous ‘Ruskins View’ passing by the beautiful Church of St Mary’s, followed by a delightful river walk to ‘Devils Bridge’ which is a lovely bonus to the town’s attractions.
Sunnyside Cottage borders Lancashire, Yorkshire and Cumbria, and there is easy access to both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, and Morecambe Bay making it a perfect base to explore! Shop, pub and restaurant 250 yards.
