Cottage is quaint, great location as can walk to beach, shop and pub. It is very well equipped and roomy, with nice garden. Couple negatives: parking is tricky for 2 cars, downstairs shower doesn't clear easily so can only have very quick shower.

The property was OK from the exterior but was much darker and older than the photos on the website would suggest. The whole property would benefit from re-decorating and upgrading all the fixtures and fittings. The kitchen wasn't that well equipped (took 3 days to locate a tea towel and there were no spare bin bags) and I couldn't locate an information file that properties I rent would normally have that contain details of local amenities/emergency services/ recommendations etc. There were no details on what to do re: bedding. Although it was nice to be left a bottle of wine in the fridge we would have appreciated the basic such as tea, coffee, milk and sugar after such a long drive.

A lovely looking cottage in a great location but so poorly cleaned - cobwebs and dirt everywhere, wood lice everywhere inside; a filthy oven and grill impossible to use it was so smokey (no bbqs allowed due to thatch). Furniture fine but so much ground in dirt on fabrics; carpets old and dark, made the overall feel very dark which is a shame. Two glasses cracked prior to arrival - clearly not checked after previous rental. Such a shame - with a bit of love and a deep clean it could be such a winner as is so pretty and the location really is good. Otherwise everything else was well catered for and the bedrooms were lovely.
