The Georgian property was built in the early 1800s, and it is now a wonderful, period holiday property, brimming with charm. Leith Hill Place and Tower is a popular historic National Trust site, and is the south of England’s highest point, offering breathtaking views. Leith Hill Place was once a favourite visiting place of Charles Darwin, the famous naturalist, and he conducted experiments in the grounds, and it now attracts visitors worldwide who come to see the popular gardens. Ralph Vaughan Williams, the renowned composer resided there as a child, as did his grandparents who were part of the Wedgwood family, known for their porcelain.
